Prose- Exam Day Sightings, etc.

I sit at a table in front of the computer, a little sweaty due to change and messing of events at the exam centre. There’s still 30 minutes to start and so I try and get used to this place. Leaning back on the chair I realise I haven’t really taken a full breath while I was running and panting in the building hallways. I was scared and searching for my seat but I’m not anymore so I take a deep breath in and close my eyes for a while. I closed them with my head looking down at the floor and opened them with my head up. And there’s a sight before me that I didn’t seem to have noticed since I came inside the room. A window. A window that opened into a scenery that was very pleasant. The building was set on a hill away from the hubbub of a busy city. I stared at this electricity pole for a minute, it rose from a green ground that belongs to the nature while it itself belonged to the artificial world. The ground looked majestic, even in hiding under the green blanket of grass. The sky was a morning sky hence quite restless. Throughout the examination it cleared up several times with the clouds painting several forms of art and figures onto the blue canvas. After a gust of wind or two, an eagle flew right around this pole and examined it, then sat on the top of it. I almost gasped. The scene seemed to have turned tables all of the sudden, the eagle holds such a royal and classic pose and energy around it. It seemed like a king/queen of that small little place. All the birds would nod and bow around it. It looked that majestic and royal! I kept looking at the eagle for a while and occasionally glanced at the computer screen to check on time. The screen granted ample time to birdwatch. I admired the splendor of the eagle for a while and also saw several other birds flying around it, almost like they were on a march around that place, felt like they saluted the eagle a couple times…

Did I run a little wilder with imagination this morning? You can never do so I guess…

After a few more gusts of winds had passed and a few more dark clouds refused to burst over this place, the eagle took off maybe to some other pole, maybe it led to some other place in a bird town where a issue awaited solutions BIRDsolutions, or maybe it just took off for a fly around the place to check on things. It gave me a glance at my window as if it knew I had been staring at it for a while and then it flew far away… It never came back to the pole, I finished that exam and now stared at the pole with a smile gleaning on my face. Now admiring the beauty of the green blanket with more enthusiasm. As I left anticipating my future but radiating love and light for escaping the shackles of high school, a crow sat on the pole… Maybe the eagle’s friend, maybe it’s wing-man haha- awaiting the next set of students… It sat under the dark clouds ( nowwith no hints of the blue canvas) just mere dark clouds now waiting for the right gust of wind to pass so that they can burst open with giant raindrops. They did so when I was about to walk to the parking ground and that’s how the I bid farewell to the calm area (or rather it bid me a far ye well) in the corner of the city which treated me a lot of peace and several beautiful sights.

Oh BY THE WAY, my exam went fine 😀 I gave it properly and didn’t stare outside all the while hehe. sid x
